Challenge
University of Reading wanted to change the direction of their recruitment marketing approach. Research had shown that students were becoming increasingly ambitious, socially aware, and conscious of the world around them. Attending an institution with these values and aspirations really meant something to most potential undergraduate students, and the University wanted to showcase this, making it a key feature of their campaign.
Response
Focusing on the researchers doing innovative and world-leading work at the University, a digital advertising campaign was developed, championing the heroes who were making an impact by daring to be different. Supported by a campaign microsite, videos on social media and were woven into the prospectus design, enabling detailed storytelling and highlighting achievements in the university.
